What IS this whole thing anyway???

Since this is a brand new blog, and I can't take for granted that everyone that sees it will know who I am or have even half a scrap of an idea what kind of crap I'm into I figured it would be a good idea to give you an idea of the kind of things I might be compelled to scribble about...

• Politics and social issues-I am a private property loving libertarian capitalist.  If the idea of expansive civil liberties, free markets, and the concept that you don't own other people or the product of their labor makes you uncomfortable, pucker up your butthole, 'cuz I'm probably going to piss you off.  If you can't stand the thought of someone thinking different than you, I'm probably going to piss you off.  If you expect me to be sad that you're mad because I don't think like you, once again, you're going to end up pissed off. 
• Music-I grew up on punk rock and metal and got educated in classical and jazz guitar performance...so there's a wide variety of stuff that piques my interest and will turn up here from time to time
• Guns and related issues-I come from a military and law enforcement household.  In my family, NOT being called a gun nut is a mild insult.
• Comic Books, Horror, Sci-Fi, and most other things nerdly.
• Food-I am a working professional chef.  I don't mind talking shop, but it probably won't take over this space as I tend to get that particular itch scratched at work.
• The Arts-yup, all of them.
• My smokin' hot wife, our dog, and our cats.
• Any other thing that crops up that I find worth talking about.

Be on the lookout for coarse language, excessive puns, and a liberal amount of DGAF.
