Because nothing says drug policy like executing Grandma...

Quick, call the DOJ and make sure they are taking notes...
Prosecutors had been pushing for a 15-year prison term, but judges handed down the death penalty, saying that Lindsay Sandiford expressed little concern over the consequences of her actions. Sandiford’s lawyer has said that the court did not consider the fact that she was forced into smuggling the cocaine under threat of violence to her family.
Kind of provides a little perspective on U.S. drug policy doesn't it?  I mean, after all, we only steal citizens' money and cars without ever charging them, throw them in prison for a decade for operating state legal dispensaries, or engage in foreign intervention and assist in killing citizens of other countries.

Anyone want to tell me what the hell our federal drug police are doing killing people in Honduras?
